Nicholas J. “Nick” Fabiano, 87 of Mashpee, died Friday after a brief illness at the McCarthy Center in Sandwich.
Born in Boston, he lived in Mashpee for the last 40 years and formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Mary (Fabiano) and James Fabiano. Nick was a Cutter at the former Fitwel Dress Company in Boston for 40 years and retired in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
Beloved husband of Lucy (Vitale) Fabiano. Devoted father of Maria Owens and her husband Mark of California, Jolene Szynkiewicz and her husband Volker of New Hampshire, and Kathy Sheridan of Quincy. Loving grandfather of Laurie, Scott, Corey, Nicole, Kristin and Kimberly. Also survived by 4 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Joseph Fabiano, Ann Tambone, and Grace Tarani all Medford.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 12 noon.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
