Mrs. Jacqueline DeLain 'Jackie' Frye, 70, of Rockingham, died Friday, September 9, 2011 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 13, in the Roberdel Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Smith officiating. Internment will follow in the Greenlake United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jackie was born in Ukiah, California on November 30, 1940, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Jane Walker DeLain. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael E. Dawkins, and a granddaughter, Keri Renee Dawkins.
She is survived by her husband, James Delmo Frye of Rockingham; three sons, Edward L. Dawkins and James D. Dwakins both of Hamlet, Mitchell Dawkins of Rockingham; a daughter, Donna Denise Hayes of Hamlet; a stepson, James Frye, Jr. of Rockingham; a brother Robert DeLain; two sisters, Sandra DeLain and Cathy DeLain; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-3:00 at Roberdel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Roberdel Baptist Church.
