Manchester– Evelyn G. (Jutras) Ashby, 85, died September 9, 2011 at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Quebec, Canada on June 21, 1926 the daughter of Joseph Hermann and Henriette (Biron) Jutras.
She previously worked at Castle Caterers, Chicopee Mills and Prevue Products.
She enjoyed sewing clothes and quilts and camping with the family.
Family members include 3 sons, Real Ashby and his wife Carol, Mario Ashby, Alain Ashby and his wife Vilma all of Manchester; 5 grandchildren, Lori Johnson of Manchester, Maryn Ashby of Stratham, Brian Ashby, Jason Ashby, Alycia Ashby all of Manchester; 2 great grandchildren, JJ Johnson, Malachi Johnson, both of Manchester; 1 sister in law Claudette Lachance of Manchester and all other family residing in Quebec, Canada.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal services will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
