DELBERT J. JOHNSON, 79, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011.
He was retired from Brown Williamson and was a deacon at his church, Harvest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Johnson and sister, Juanita Collard.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie “Lou” Johnson; son, Steve Johnson (Cuba); daughter, Diane Wade; grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Brian Johnson, Stephanie Wade, Krystle Wade Conen (Joey), Tyman Salmon, Jessica Johnson and Austin Johnson; great grandchildren, Hanna and Maddie Conen; brothers, Duell (Irene), Leon (Mary), Eugene (Joyce), Wayne (Jonia), Doyle (Wanda) and Otis Johnson; sister, Leona Gains; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His service will be 11am Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Sunday 3-9pm and after 9am Monday until the service.
