ROCKPORT: Miss Frances M. Enright, 85, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born in Boston on July 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and A. Frances (Lamb) Enright.
While residing in Cambridge, she had summered in Rockport with her family for many years, prior to moving here in 1942. She was a graduate of St. Ann High School class of 1945.
Miss Enright was employed by the Commercial Union Insurance Company in Boston for thirty-nine years, having retired in 1988. While working in Boston, she was also employed for several years at Addison Gilbert Hospital as a nurse’s aide. In 1990 she began working for Action, Inc. and continued through 1998.
She is survived by several cousins and her dear friends, Denise and David Thayer, Gail Seaburg-Grendon, Nancy Seaburg, Gerald Clancy and Rosemary Hoosen, David Johnson, Sarah Dunlap, Nancy Mitchell, Anna Gray, Maureen Forbes, Anna Matturo and Gail Ramos.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at St. Joachim’s Church, Broadway, Rockport at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held privately in the Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 260 Main St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
