Paula A. (Serode) Jean, 58, of Winter Haven, Florida formerly of Norton, Passed away at home, surrounded by her devoted family, on Wednesday September 7, 2011.
Born in Chelsea, MA on December 1, 1952, she was a loving daughter of Pauline A. (Cabral) Serode of Rochester, New Hampshire and the late Arthur V. Serode.
She grew up in Malden and Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a graduate of Norton High School. In her senior year, Paula was voted prom queen by her peers.
A graduate of the Brockton Academy of Hairdressing, she was a self-employed hairdresser and operated her businesses in Florida and in Pembroke. She loved shopping for clothes and had made her home in Florida for the past 20 years.
In addition to her loving mother, she is survived by her beloved children; Gary Jean and Melanie Jean both of Winter Haven, Florida. She was the dear sister of Arthur P. Serode of Winter Haven, Florida, Michael J. Serode of Pembroke, R. James Serode of Norton and Patricia T. Russell of Attleboro, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday September 13th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave. ) Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday September 12th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
