Joseph “Joe” R. Ricketson
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 6, 2011, Mr. Joseph “Joe” Ricketson, 63, husband of 38 years to Mrs. Brenda Justus Ricketson.
Mr. Ricketson was a district manager for Tinder Box Tobacco for 13 years. He was currently enrolled at Augusta State University for his Masters Degree in Counseling. Mr. Ricketson owned and operated Ricketson Real Estate Company. He loved helping people and making them laugh. He loved to play chess and was a movie connoisseur.
Family members in addition to wife include: son: Joseph S. Ricketson (Ashley); grandson: Cayden Ricketson; and brother: Schley Ricketson (Maria). He was preceded in death by his parents, father Darwin S. Ricketson Sr. and mother Elmir Rogers Ricketson
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Sid Gates officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
