Marie T. (Post) True, 86 of 150 Pleasant Street died Tuesday, Sept. 6 surrounded by her family.
Her husband John H. True, Sr. died in 1993. She leaves four sons John H. True, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Berryville, Ark., Francis L. True of Leicester, Daniel True and his wife Barbara of Leicester and Gary S. True and his wife Melinda of Charlton, three daughters Donna M. Salls and her husband Richard of Rutland, Beverly J. Poirier and her husband David of New Ipswich, N.H., and Linda D. Madore and her husband Joseph of Newton, NH., a sister Dolores Lynn of Hunlock Creek, Pa., three brothers George Post, Jr. and Robert Post and his wife Irene all of Pottsville, Pa., and Joseph Post of Minersville, Pa., 11 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, nieces and nephews.
Born in Shenandoah, Pa., she was the daughter of George and Sophia (Kinger) Post, Sr. She later worked as a secretary at the Pentagon in Washington during WWII, where she met her late husband John.
She was a member of St. Joseph/St. Pius X Parish, the Leicester Red Hat Society, Cherry Valley American Legion Women’s Auxillary, and frequented the Leicester Senior Center. She enjoyed travel with family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 9 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 8 from 4-7p.m.
