NEW BEDFORD – Mabel (Vaughan) Reynolds, 85, of E. Freetown, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at The Oaks. She was the widow of Durwood A. Reynolds.
Born in Fall River she was the daughter of the late Ernest C. B. Vaughan and the late Grace A. (Lucas) Vaughan and had been a resident of E. Freetown for most of her life. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of People’s Christian Church of New Bedford and had been employed by the Acushnet Company in the sales and customer service department until her retirement in 1994. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by 3 sons: Richard D. Reynolds of E. Freetown, David B. Reynolds of E. Freetown and Barry A. Reynolds of Lakeville; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Kenneth B. Vaughan.
Funeral will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 10 A.M. at the KIRBY FUNERAL HOME, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford, MA 02745. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 P.M.
Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
