Mrs. Lorraine G. Fougere, age 82 of Medford died Monday in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Fougere with whom she shared more than 56 years of marriage. Mrs. Fougere was born in Somerville, daughter of the late Joseph G. and Catherine C. (Deveau) Gaudet. She is a graduate of the former Rosary Academy High School in Watertown, class of 1947. She worked as a legal secretary employed by Attorney Neil Lynch. This began a chain of events that kept her and Atty, Lynch working together for more than 30 years. During her career she worked as a legal secretary at the Massachusetts Port Authority, The Massachusetts State House and the Supreme Court. She retired in 1991. Mrs. Fougere was an avid reader and also enjoyed singing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 nephews, Raymond and Donald Gaudet, 2 nieces, Diane Herman and Paula Copan. She is predeceased by a brother, Joseph G. Gaudet Jr. She also leaves a host of friends, some of whom consider her their aunt. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Friday at 9:00 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
