Obituary

DANVERS—Jeffrey A. Ouimette, 44, a longtime Danvers resident, died unexpectedly on August 29, 2011 in Florida, where he had relocated recently.
Born in Danvers on Oct. 7, 1966, he was the son of Wallace and Barbara (Steele) Ouimette of Danvers. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1984. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Jeff worked in the area for many years as a candy maker, most recently running his own business, Half-Dipped Chocolatier. He had also worked for many years at Putnam Pantry in Danvers and Nichols Candies in Gloucester.
An avid runner, he was a member of the North Shore Striders and completed two Boston Marathons and many local road races. He was also very devoted to his dogs, Sparkie and Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his partner, Robert Schlussler of Wilton Manors, FL, his siblings, Kathy Ford and her husband Joel of North Carolina, Carolyn Haskell of North Reading, Ken Ouimette and his companion Patty Ramsdell of Danvers, and Ronald Ouimette and his wife Isabelle of Danvers, his stepson Ryan C. St. Pierre of Virginia, his godmother, Vicki Steele, a dear friend, Ethel Marino, several nieces and nephews, and a loving extended family.
His Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited.
