Werner, John E., 99, of Louisville passed away Sunday September 4, 2011 at the Sts Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
John retired from Yellow Cab Co. after 55 years of service.
Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Buena (Kennedy) Werner; parents, John Dominic & Carrie (Norris) Werner.
Survivors include his niece, Willa Knight (Gerald); great niece, Kayla Stallard; great nephews, Gregory Knoop and Kevin Knoop; step-daughter, Caryl Garrett; step-grandson, Ernie Lamb (Janet); step great grandson, Jason Lamb; step great granddaughter, Paige Lamb, step granddaughter, Leslie DeLorenzo (George); sister-in-law, Mary Anne O'Brien; niece, Diane Stoltz (Ronnie); great niece, Carrie Ann Stoltz Marshall (David).
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 10:00 am Wednesday.
