Obituary

Henry F. Archambault, 86, of Bernon St., Woonsocket, died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Jeanne (Paulhus) Archambault. He was also the husband of the late Theresa (Kelleter) Archambault, and the late Doris (Lefebvre) Archambault.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Gedeon and Lillian (St. John) Archambault. He remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Archambault served in the Army during WWII. He was wounded in combat in Italy in 1944 and returned to the United States to recover. He was awarded the European Theatre Ribbon, Italian Campaign Battle Star, and the Purple Heart.
Following his service to his country Mr. Archambault was employed at Industrial Machine Company for many years. In his earlier years he worked at several area textile mills.
Henry was a member of the Flynn Post VFW in Woonsocket, the St. Agatha’s and St. Joseph’s Seniors Clubs, the Mt. Vernon Forever Club and the AARP. He was a loyal member of Red Sox nation.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph Archambault, and his wife Lori, of Woonsocket, a daughter Mary-Ann Johnson of Woonsocket, a brother Robert A. Archambault of Texas, and two sisters Marion Richer of Bellingham and Lorraine Lemoine of North Smithfield. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
His funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
