Katherine T. Thompson, 86, Clarksville died Monday September 5, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital.
She was born November 12, 1924, in Dove, TN the daughter of the late Lewis C. Thorpe and the late Martha Keele Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Paul Fields, one brother and four sisters.
She was a member of First Baptist Church for 40 years. She retired from Bank of America as manager of the Hilldale Branch. She worked for Dr. David Gullett for 13 years.
She is survived by her husband Sam Thompson of Clarksville, one son Sammy Thompson of Atlanta, GA, one daughter Jennifer Fields of Erwin, TN, and four grandchildren Carolina Fields, Emily Thompson, Johnathan Fields and David Fields.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Thursday, 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be Thursday, 2:00 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
