Marjorie Dorminy Royston, 80, of Fitzgerald died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at the Osceola Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Big Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Royston was born July 25, 1931 in Fitzgerald to the late John and Maxie Nasworthy Dorminy. She lived in Ben Hill and Irwin counties most of her life. Mrs. Royston was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: William W. Royston of Fitzgerald; sons and daughters-in-law: Steve & Alice Goodman and John & Laura Goodman of Fitzgerald, J.R. & Darlene Goodman of Albany, Billy Earl & Roxie Goodman of Fitzgerald, Larry & Missy Goodman of Welaka, FL and Allen Goodman of Albany; step children: Cynthia & James Alvey of Columbia, MD, William M. & Inger Royston of Marlboro, MD, Thomas M. Royston of Winchester, VA and Margie & Scott Ely of Bel Air, MD; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bud Dorminy and Ellis Dorminy.
