LEICESTER: Earle R. Vancelette 62 of Leicester, died Monday, August 29 at his home following a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Christine E. Bercume, his daughter Ellen C. Vancelette of Leicester, two sisters Gail A. Vancelette of Irvine, Calif., and Susan M. Uryasz and her husband Joseph of Oxford, his aunt Ruth M. Stewart of Oxford, and many nieces and nephews.
Earle was Vice President of Manufacturing of No.America for Aearo Co. in Southbridge from 1997-2008. He previously worked for many years at Wright Line and Astra Pharmaceuticals both in Worcester. At onetime, he served in the Peace Corps in Uganda, Africa.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Earle R. and Ruth (King) Vancelette, Sr. He later graduated from Leicester High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester. He then completed a certificate program from the school in Plant Engineering.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2 at 11a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, 1089 Stafford St., Rochdale. Following cremation, burial will be private and at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the MORRISON – MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester are Thursday, Sept. 1 from 5 to 7p.m.
