Mary (Kapetanopoulos) Pappas, 89, of 17 Charlton Rd., passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard in Webster.
Her husband, Christie 'Chris' Pappas died in 1992. She was also predeceased by her son, George C. Pappas who died in 1987.
She leaves a niece and nephews.
Mary was born in Marlborough, daughter of Paskalis and Magdelene (Koyiopoulos) Kapetanopoulos and lived in Dudley many years.
She graduated from Marlborough High School, was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and a member of the Ladies Philoptocos Society of the church.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star former Nokomis Chapter, now Clara Barton Chapter.
Mary worked at the former Webster Drug, formerly Vernon Drug for 25 years and retired in 1985.
At Mary's request there will be no calling hours, the Funeral will be Private at Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster is directing arrangements.
