Obituary

Mr. Warren Howard Adams, Sr., a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved husband of Faye E. (Rand) died at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was 84 years old.
Born in Medford on July 22, 1927, Warren was the beloved son of the late Harold J. and Gertrude (Wilkinson) Adams. Mr. Adams attended Medford High School, prior to enlising in the US Navy. He attained the rank of Fireman, First Class and received his honorable discharge from Boston on June 7, 1946. He worked as a Mechanic for the MDC for more than 30 years before retiring. In his spare time, Mr. Adams loved working in his garden, as well as his childrens gardens. He also loved bird watching and was a member of the Audubon Society. Warren had a great love and respect for nature. Over the years, he also enjoyed renovating his home and yard in Medford with some help from family and friends.
Besides his beloved wife, Faye, Warren will be sorely missed by his loving children; Dawn P. Adams of Newburyport, Warren H. Adams, Jr. of Medford, Denyce R. and her husband Warren P. Akell of Jay, Maine, Dale H. and her husband Kevin R. Staples of Campton, New Hampshire, Randy L. Adams and her partner Brenda Stevenson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Jacquelyn L. and her husband Paul J. DiNunzio of Tewksbury, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Noon. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visitation was prior to the service from 10 to 12. Interment was held in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. For additional information, please visit, www.magliozzifuneralhome.com.
