Wareham – Linda Fernandes, age 45, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 unexpectedly at home. Ms. Fernandes was the fiancée of David J. Silva, loving daughter of M. Connie (Cordeiro), and Serafim Amaral.
Linda was the sister of Susana Smith, Elizabeth Fernandes, Rodney Fernandes, Robert Amaral, Brian Amaral and three other siblings. Linda was the sister of the late Phyllis M. Rogers and Victor Fernandes. Linda was the Godmother of Christian Rivera and granddaughter of Natalia Cordeiro. Linda is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Fernandes was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. Linda worked as a medical assistant at New Bedford Medical Associates.
Ms. Fernandes’ funeral will be Tuesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday evening from 5 - 8 P.M.
