Hudson, MA
Ralph W. Warner, 83, a life long resident of Hudson, died Thursday, Aug. 25th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Catherine Ann (Szuch) Correa-Warner of Hudson.
Ralph was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Newell F. and Elizabeth (Doherty) Warner. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. He later attended Suffolk University where he received his Law Degree and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in Nov. of 1951. He has been a practicing attorney for nearly 60 years. Ralph was also a member and officer in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, Company K 181st Infantry from 1945 to 1957.
Ralph was well known for his service within his community, including serving 36 years as Town Clerk of Hudson from 1957 to 1993; Hudson Board of Selectmen, 1960 to 1969; member of the Hudson Bylaw Committee, 1968 to present; member of the Hudson Historical Commission, 1994 to present and member of the Hudson Historical Society.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Francis Warner and his wife BettyAnn of Jefferson, Jonathan Warner of Marlboro, Nathaniel Warner of Miami, FL, Gregory Warner of Hudson, Maebeth Warner of Providence, RI, Luke J. Warner of Honolulu, Hawaii, and his former wife of 21 years and mother of his children, Sylvia (Arduini) Warner of Shrewsbury. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Warner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jesse Dover, Julius Dover, Ariella Palumbo, Christopher Warner, Corey Warner, Ryan Warner, Joseph Warner, David Warner, Christina Warner, Luke Provencher; his great grandson Kayden Warner; his step-children, Alec Correa of Northwood, NH, Evelyn Gosselin of Northfield, NH, John Correa of Hudson, Nancy Manzella of Marlboro, Marie Correa of Wayland, Edward Correa of Virginia, Jane Allen of Maryland and his cousin, Philip Warner of Connecticut.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 30th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, 5 Washington Street, (Wood Square) Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 29th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
