Funeral services for Virginia “Ginny” S. Turner, 85, of Ashburn, will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Snowridge Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Turner died Friday, August 19, 2011 in Marietta, GA following a brief illness.
Mrs. Turner was born in Tifton, GA and was the daughter of the late George O. and Hattie Virginia Kendrick Smith. She was a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church and the Keenagers Club. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Turner is survived by one son Theodore “Ted” C. Turner, Jr. and his wife Susan C. Turner, Acworth, GA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Charles E. Turner and Cory E. Turner, both of Atlanta, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
