Mrs. Pamela Tate, age 44, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born on March 9, 1967 in Surry County, to Rupert Rippey and the late Virginia Ann Rippey. Mrs. Tate worked as an accountant, and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Tate is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Tate, of the home; her father; two sons, Daniel Lee Tate and Joseph Matthew Crotts; three brothers, Mark Rippey, Jeff Rippey, and Bobby Rippey; and two grandchildren, Shawn Crotts and Kaelynn Lawson, all of Mt. Airy. Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Rickey Martin and Bro. Don Collins officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
