Irene V. (Mandeville) Thomas, 88, of New Bedford died Monday August 22, 2011. She was the wife of the late Milton W. Thomas.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Arcade F. and Rosanna (Guy) Mandeville, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. Thomas was formerly employed by several local textile mills until her retirement.
She is survived by her brother, Edward Mandeville.
She was the sister of the late Ora Alves, Victor Mandeville, Roger Mandeville, and Rose Berube.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Peckham West Cemetery.
