Obituary

WORCESTER-Stanley J. Menzenski, 83, of 600 Main Street, died Tuesday, February 17th in Kent County Hospital in Warwick, RI after a short illness. He leaves his sister, Sister Mary Jane Menzenski S.H.F.N. of Philadelphia, PA and many nephews and nieces. 3 brothers Chet, Tony and Julian Menzenski and a sister Pauline Kenneway predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester son of Alexander and Julia (Zarzycka) Menzenski and was a WWII Army Veteran and participated in the Omaha Beach landing and in battles across Northern France and Germany as well as the Liberation of Dachau. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Menzenski was a machinist for American Steel and Wire Co. for many years until his retirement. He had been past commander of the Polish American Veterans and a member and officer of the White Eagles Club.

The funeral is Saturday, February 21st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, February 20th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
