Lauren M. (Hopkins) Elias, 46, of Franklin and formerly of Dedham died August 21 in the Faulkner Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Stephen S. Elias.
Born in Boston, March 27, 1965, the daughter of Richard F. and Judith (Martell) Hopkins of Dedham, Mrs. Elias was raised in Dedham and had lived in Franklin for the past 14 years.
She was a 1983 graduate of Dedham High School and also was a graduate of South Eastern Massachusetts University (now the University of Mass-Dartmouth) with a degree in Nursing.
Mrs. Elias had been a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton for 20 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Brianna and Matthew Elias of Franklin.
She is also survived by her siblings, Arlene P. Mulrey and her husband Richard of Walpole, Brian F. Hopkins of Dedham and Teresa M. Hopkins of Dedham.
She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Melissa, Kayla, Timothy, Kristen, Nathaniel, Joshua and Bethany.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 25 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 11:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at Noon.
Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
