Jeanne D'Arc Richer died Sunday at the age of 91 in The Ballou Home in Woonsocket surrounded by family and friends. Jeanne was one of many Franco-Americans of Canadian descent who worked the now defunct Woonsocket textile mills such as the Alsace and the Woonsocket Spinning.
She was the wife of the late Armand Z. Richer of Woonsocket and the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Marie-Louise (Houle) Beausoleil of Woonsocket. She is survived by three sons; Robert and his wife Celine of New Hampshire, Roland and his wife Diane of Woonsocket, and Alan and his wife Pam of Massachusetts. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Claudine, Nicole, Jacques, Andre and Amanda and six great-grandchildren; Nicole, Anthony, Jonathan, Emma, Caitlin and Owen.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10am in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun Street, Woonsocket. Burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 5-7 in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
