Mr. Earl Thomas Watkins Jr, Age87, of 506 East Jefferson St. of Douglas, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday Aug.20, 2011 surrounded by his family. Funeral services for Mr. Watkins will be Monday Aug.22, 2011 at 4pm at the First United Methodist Church of Douglas, with the Body to lie in State from 3-4 pm at the Church. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Sunday Aug 21 at Sims Funeral Home.
Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Faine Greene Watkins, one Daughter Beverly W. Barbaree (Greg) , one son Tommy Watkins (Linda) both of Douglas. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren Mary Ashley Barbaree, Brooks Barbaree, Hillary Barbaree, and Anna Watkins. He has 2 great grandchildren Lauren Ashley Barbaree and Mary Adalynn Taylor, several Nieces and nephews also survive.
