TEWKSBURY - Mary Ann Ulm, age 84, a resident of Tewksbury for five decades, died Saturday morning, August 20, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry E. Ulm, who died in 1972.
She was born in Salem, Mass., the daughter of the late Richard and Christina (Ebert) Faulkner. She was raised in Salem, attended St. Mary's parochial schools, and lived there until moving to Tewksbury in 1958.
She graduated from Essex Agricultural Technical School.
She was a talented seamstress, gifted in embroidery, crocheting, and sewing. She was also known for her devotion to television's daily Soap Operas.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann L. Burke and her husband Robert, with whom she resided in Tewksbury; two sons and their spouses, James H. Ulm and Rebecca (Davis) of Moultonborough, NH, and Christipher E. Ulm and Patricia LaJoy of Boynton Beach, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Stephanie Ulm of Manchester, NH, Sandy Ulm of Townsend, MA, Michelle Tgibedes of Dracut, James Ulm Jr., of Brockton, Henry Ulm, Christipher Ulm, Emily Ulm, Dylan Ulm, Jake Ulm, and Olivia Ulm all of Moultonborough, NH, Melissa Ulm of Washington, DC, Thomas Ulm of Raymond, NH, and Patrick Burke of Nashua, NH; four great grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Shelbie, and Jack; and her beloved extended family, the Denehy family of Westford.
Her Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Aug. 24, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem, MA. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Memorials to Boy's Town, P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010, www.boystown.org, will be appreciated.
