Samuel Naifeh 50, of Clarksville, TN went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday August 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Burnette officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 5 PM and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Litchfield, Darryl Lopes, Jerry Strange, Eddie Ward, Derek Gee, Troy Pinson, Albert Casillas, and Chris P. Naifeh. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles "Chuck" Kinnard.
Samuel Scott Naifeh was born in Davidson County May 2, 1961. He was the son of the late Kamel "Shug" Naifeh and Jennie Ruth Naifeh.
Sam is survived by his loving wife Cathy Hamra Naifeh of Clarksville; two children, Christopher Philip Naifeh (Sara) of Springfield,TN and Samantha Naifeh Tharp (Preston) of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Peyton Tharp and Kaylee Wilkerson Hogan; and one sister, Mitzi Ruth Cater (Bill) of Key Largo, FL.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, "Shug" and Jennie Ruth Naifeh, one brother, Kamel "Little Shug Naifeh", an aunt who adored him, Josephine Naifeh Tabor, and uncle James "Babe" Naifeh; and cousin Lynette Tabor.
Sam was a great footbal player in high school. He loved sports. Football and golf were his favorites. He and his wife Cathy were very close and shared most things together.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Life Point Church. Sam loved his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed. What we have lost, Heaven gained.
