DOROTHY ANN (PRESLEY) MYERS, age 65, of Milton, formerly of Hingham and Summerfield, Florida, died on Tuesday, Feb. 17th at her home after a long illness. Born in Weymouth, Mrs. Myers lived most of her life in Hingham where she graduated from Hingham High School. She was a teacher's aide at the Plymouth River School in Hingham for 2 years, prior to her becoming a clerk at Hitchcock Shoe Co. also in Hingham. She retired in 1993 when she moved to Summerfield, Florida. She recently came to Milton due to her illness. During her years in Florida, Mrs. Myers was a member and Past President of the Spruce Creek Ladies Golf Association. She was an avid crafter, including knitting, sewing, quilting, basket weaving and embroidering.Wife of Robert F. Myers, Jr., she leaves 8 children; Robert F. Myers, III of Scarborough, ME, James E. Myers of Albany, NY, Susan M. Myers of Sharon, Maureen L. Trifone of Milton, Patricia Ann Myers and John A. Myers both of Westbrook, ME, William T. Myers of Auburn, ME and Kathleen T. McAlpine of Quincy. Daughter of Elizabeth (Downey) Presley of Hingham. Sister of Carol Scannell of Florida, Mary Lou Finneran of TN Kenneth Presley of Hingham and George Presley of Marshfield. Also survived by 10 grandchildren.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 20th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Church,147 North St., Hingham Square.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115 or to Hospice of the South Shore, P.O. Box 859060, Braintree, MA 02185-9060.The interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
