Taylor of Plymouth, George Paul, 77, at Jordan Hospital, August 12. Loving Husband of 47 years to Jill (Sunderland) Taylor of Plymouth. Loving father of Brad and his wife Leigh-Ann, Craig and his wife Lynn all of Plymouth, and Graham and his wife Sabine of Los Angeles, CA; Proud grandfather of Emma, Jeremy, Lydon, and Oleana.
George was born in Newton the son of Ernest and Maria (Schiavone) Taylor. He graduated from Quincy High School 1n 1953 and graduated from Franklin Institute of Boston in 1963. George enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1952 –1956 and served with the SEA-BEES during the end of the Korean Conflict. George owned and operated an auto body shop in Quincy “George Taylor Auto Body”. He joined the Quincy Fire Department in 1967 and retired in 1978 as a Captain. George was a member of the Town River Yacht Club and American Legion Post 40 in Plymouth. He enjoyed gardening, boating, fishing, photography, traveling and playing guitar. George loved to celebrate life with his many friends and family and was known for his good sense of humor.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis funeral home 373 Court St. (Rte 3A) N. Plymouth Friday August 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
