Donald B. Watson, 70, passed away August 12, 2011 at Norton Suburban Hospital.
Born in Basking Ridge, NJ, he graduated Bernards High in Bernardsville, NJ, received his BS in Accounting from Rutgers University, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserves in 1967, having contracted Multiple Sclerosis. He was employed as an accountant with two different New York City firms and lastly in New Jersey, with Johnson & Johnson, till his disability prevailed. He relocated to Louisville, KY, with family in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Watson, brother Kenneth Watson and sister Carol Ader.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Natalie Sarkanich, MD, Watson and his son, Thomas (Hadley) Watson of Portland, OR, his daughter Lydia (Rodney) Hall of Anchorage, KY, his sister-in-law, Gabriella Sarkanich of Louisville, KY and four grandchildren, Alexa, Knox, Lauren and Jay.
Following cremation a graveside memorial ceremony will be held for family and friends at a later date at the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Piscataway, NJ.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisville Comprehensive Care Multiple Sclerosis Center, Dutchmans Lane, in Louisville, KY in his name.
