Julia Pearl (Gay) Flener 91 passed away Sunday August 14, 2011 at the Essex Nursing & Rehab Center. A native of Oneida,Ky. A member of Valley View Church, she was a Sunday school teacher for 51 years, love to sing in the choir, play piano, and organ , just loved her church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Ernie Ray Flener and her daughter Judy Kay Griffin Minter. She is survived by her children; Caroleen Sadler, James “Jim” Griffin (Bonnie) Three grandchildren, Four great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be 11am Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation 5 pm to 8pm on Tuesday.
