Richard J. Thomas, 75, passed away on August 14, 2011, at Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the husband of Lillian (Ballard) Thomas with whom he shared thirty-eight years of marriage.
Born in Cambridge on July 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Foster) Thomas. Richard was employed with the Town of Lynnfield as a school bus driver. He also was a mechanic for many years and loved working on automobiles.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-son, Paul Lindquist of Danvers and a step-daughter Mary Allen of Maine and a beloved cat, Amanda.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. There are no funeral services.
