McGrath, daughter of Yoshiko (Nagamine) Colman, sister of Katherine Giovanni and John Colman, aunt of Ryan, Colin, Andrew, Kendra, Mackenzie, Will, Carson, Anders, Davis, Kelsey, Brenna, James and Riley.
Visiting hours celebrating her life will be held in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 5-8pm. Obituary Information
Evelyn died Sunday evening at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was born in Okinawa, the daughter of Yoshiko (Nagamine) Colman. She moved to Brockton in 1965, where she was raised, attended Brockton schools. She was a graduate from Brockton High School, Class of 1978 and continued her education receiving her Associates Degree from Massasoit Community College.
Evelyn’s family was her life and she stayed at home to raise her daughter Megan. She was a volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her husband Scott G. McGrath, one daughter Megan C. McGrath of North Easton, her mother Yoshiko (Nagamine) Colman, one sister Katherine Giovanni of Brockton, one brother John Colman of St. Joseph Missouri, two aunts and one uncle locally, many nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins in Okinawa
