RAYNHAM, MA – Arlene Y. (Tremblay) Almeida, wife of R. Guy Almeida, died at her Raynham home on August 10, 2011.
A Raynham resident for the past seven years, she was 58 years old.
She was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of Gerard and Doris (Blette) Tremblay of Cranston, RI.
Raised and educated in Providence, she was a 1971 graduate of St. Mary’s Visitation High School.
Mrs. Almeida resided in Raynham for the past seven years.
A retired sales representative, she was employed by USA Mobility for many years before retiring eighteen months ago.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time at the beach with her family.
Besides her husband and parents, she leaves two sons, William Moniz, Jr. of Cranston and Daniel Moniz of Quincy, MA; a daughter, Christine McAlduff of Weymouth, MA; three stepsons, Robert Almeida, Jr. of Ipswich, MA, Todd Almeida of Chesapeake, VA and Timothy Almeida of Las Vegas, NV; a stepdaughter, Michelle Gniadek of Sandwich, MA; two brothers, Gerard Tremblay of S. Kingstown, RI and Joseph Tremblay of Cranston; three sisters, Suzanne Lavalle and Jeannette Tremblay, both of Cranston, and Carolyn Taraborelli of Hopedale, MA; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, uncles, aunts and uncles.
Her Funeral will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Monday, Aug. 15th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church, Raynham at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Pleasant St. Cemetery, Raynham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Aug. 14th from 4 to 7 p.m.
