David H. Franks, 62, of Clarksville, TN died Thursday August 11, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Mike Madewell officiating.
Burial will be on Monday at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga at 1:30 PM eastern time. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 7 PM and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Franks was born February 7, 1949 in Towncreek, AL son of the late James Neal Franks and Lassie Jeffreys Franks. He was a US Army veteran and served during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Garner Franks; two sons, James Franks, Hernando, MS and Ronald Joey Franks, Clarksville; two brothers , J.W. Franks, Muscle Shoals, AL and Darrell Franks, Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Faye Smith, Muscle Shoals, AL and Donnie Peden, Towncreek, AL; and one granddaughter, Emily Kate Franks.
