Beloved father of Steve Foley and his wife Dorine of Goffstown, NH and Laurie Terrio and her husband Bobby of Saugus. Brother of the late Walter Foley, Francis Foley, Avis Foley, Mary Caffarella, Claire Vezina, Gertrude Littlefield and Barbara Foley. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Meaghan Terrio and Alec and Andrea Foley. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Saturday, August 13th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Late United States WW II Army Veteran and member of the Saugus VFW.
Born in Melrose and a lifelong Malden resident, Gerald passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital at the age of 88. A Malden Firefighter for over 30 years, stationed on Engine 6 in Linden Square, he spent his retirement years involved in his grandchildrens lives, especially their sports and was considered the #1 Hockey fan of Saugus High.
