Estelle R. Pandolfi, 93, of Sayles Hill Rd., Manville, died Friday morning at The Holiday. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Pandolfi.
Born and raised in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Laura (Ritchotte) Lachappelle.
Mrs. Pandolfi moved to Manville upon her marriage in 1937 and later lived for 16 years in Ashland, MA. She returned to Manville in 1971 and remained in her home on Sayles Hill Rd. until she took up residence at The Holiday 11 years ago.
In her earlier years Mrs. Pandolfi was employed at the Manville Jenckes Mill.
After starting her family Estelle devoted herself to being a homemaker.
Estelle’s life centered around home and church activities. She was especially talented in creating beautiful quilts and loved cooking.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald A. Pandolfi, and Lucille, of Deland, FL, Thomas A. Pandolfi, and Deborah, of Ashland, MA, two daughters Rita Vaden, and Don, of Hawthorne, Nevada, and Patricia Ribotto, and Richard, of Bellingham. She was the sister of Leo Lachappelle of Greenville, Lillian Bliven of Lincoln, Florence Inanetta and Emma Filliatreault, both of Cumberland, and the late Arthur Lachappelle and Laura Poisson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 8:30 -9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard–Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville.
