Obituary

Bruce Earle Andrews, 68, of Cape Haze, Florida and Shrewsbury, Mass, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, August 4th, at the VA Medical Center in W. Roxbury, Mass, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his daughters, Stacia LePan of Lebanon, NH, Deborah Andrews of Penacook, NH, his grandchildren, Owen and Wyatt Connor, his sister, Lorraine McKelvey of St. Louis, MO, and his longtime companion and best friend, Lisa Driscoll, and her sons, David and Stephen Mendelsohn of Shrewsbury, Mass.

Bruce was born November 22, 1942, in Laconia, NH, son of Dwight Andrews and Helen Young Andrews. He graduated from Tilton-Northfield High School in 1960. Bruce proudly served his country in the US Air Force, rank A2C, where he was stationed in Alaska during the Vietnam War. He was then employed by Yamaha where he field tested skidoos in Japan. For several years, he travelled the world selling heavy machinery in the egg industry. Bruce also served as General Manager in Auburn for Holiday World and then worked for Flagg RV in West Boylston. After retiring, Bruce moved to Cape Haze, Florida and summered in Shrewsbury. He worked part time for TimBuckTu in W. Boylston. “Brucee” loved the ocean, boating, fishing, reading, gardening, travelling, and everything Nascar, but most of all, he loved conversations and cooking with his family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 11:30 AM at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Bosquin, NH. There are no calling hours. Bruce’s family extends their sincerest thanks to the VA staff of the W. Roxbury Medical Center for their support, kindness, and attention that Bruce and his family received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fisher House at the W. Roxbury Medical Center.
