SALEM - Gertrude A. (Hansen) Rogalski, 85, of Salem, wife of the late Joseph P. Rogalski, died Wednesday morning, August 3, 2011 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Lynn and raised in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Fred. and Gertrude (Patterson) Hansen.
Prior to her retirement in the early 1990's, Mrs Rogalski was employed by GTE Sylvania in Ipswich and Salem for many years and was a member of the GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club. She was previously employed by General Electric in Lynn and in her retirement years, she worked part time at Shaws Supermarket in Peabody.
A resident of Salem for most of her life, she also summered in Buzzards Bay for many years. She was a member of the Salem Garden Club and the Polish Falcons, Nest #188 in Salem.
Mrs. Rogalski is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. Erps of Salem, two grandchildren, Eric Erps and his wife Shawna of Beverly, Keith Erps and his longtime girlfriend Anna Grzybowska of Salem, two great grandchildren, Noah Erps and Ethan Erps of Beverly, one brother, Harvey “Tex” Hansen of Florida and Fryeburg, Maine and two nieces Nancy Boucher and Brenda Cavallo. She was predeceased by one brother, Wilbur Hansen.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 11AM to 12:30 PM at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Michael J.
