Doris Ruby Johnson Fussell, age 83, Douglas, GA passed away at her residence on August 2, 2011 following an extended illness. Mrs. Fussell was born in Broxton, GA to the late Thomas Mike and Udell Bordeaux Johnson on May 23, 1928. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Fussell was the widow of Wilford Ray Fussell, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with interment following in the Satilla Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: sons: Wilford Ray (Charlotte) Fussell, Jr., Douglas, GA, Dr. Timothy (Tammy) Fussell, Douglas, GA; daughters: Teresa (Danny) Solomon, Douglas, GA, Virginia (Roger) Nelson, Douglas, GA, Janet (Tony) Wright, Douglas, GA; sisters: Dorothy Duke and Evelyn Buchan, both of Douglas, GA; half brother: Thomas Mike Johnson, Jr., Douglas, Ga; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
