WEBSTER – Mary E. (Donovan) Meagher, 95, of 67 Lower Gore Road, died Friday, February 13, in Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Her husband of 19 years, Charles M. Meagher, died in 1962.
She leaves a son and his wife, Charles F. and Kathy G. Meagher; a daughter, Kathleen P. Baca, all of Webster; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew C., and James Baca, Andrew Palmerino, Christine and Joshua Meagher; 4 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
She was born in Lowell, daughter of Patrick and Mary (Keating) Donovan and lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Saint Louis High School and the Becker Secretarial School in Worcester.
Mrs. Meagher was employed as the office manager at Deary Bros. in Dudley for over 50 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Saint Louis Church and its League of Catholic Women. She loved dogs and walking at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, February 17, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, February 16, in the funeral home.
