Obituary

WORCESTER-Gladys E. (Danforth) Krasinskas, 86, of 7 Fourth Street died Wednesday, February 11th in Worcester Medical Center after a short illness. George, her husband of 68 ½ years died in December. She leaves 2 sons, George J. Krasinskas of Grafton and Lt. Richard D. Krasinskas of Worcester, a daughter, Donna M. Hartness of Leicester, 7 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, 3 step great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 6 brothers, Charles, Arthur, Lawrence, Walter, Warren and Bert and 5 sisters, Rose, Blanche, Bertha, Gertrude and Ruth.

She was born in Webster the daughter of William H. and Maude (Meigs) Danforth. Mrs. Krasinskas worked part time at Mill Swan School for nearly 20 years and was a volunteer at St. Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury for almost 13 years. She was a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, a member of its Women’s Guild, a former Girl Scout, a Catholic Daughter’s leader and had been involved with many church projects over the years including the Annual Christmas Fair. Mrs. Krasinskas was a wonderful cook, enjoyed reading especially books on American history. Her passions were her family and flower gardens.

The funeral is Monday, February 16th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, February 15th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
