Doris I.(Jolicoeur) Noury, 77, of Manchester, died February 13, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on October 15, 1926, and was the daughter of Antonio and Lena(Dallaire) Jolicoeur.
Doris was educated in local schools and attended Rivier College for two years. She was involved for many years in family businesses most recently Beechmont Market.
She spent her spare time knitting and sewing making knitted hats for the premature baby’s at the Elliot Hospital. She was an active member of St. Anthony Parish, having served as the chairperson of many of the Christmas Fairs, as well as numerous other events in the parish. Doris was a member of and past President of Les Dames de St. Anne.
She was a member of the N.E.P.C.I.A. for many years.
Family members include her husband of 55 years, Leonard Noury, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Michelle Noury of Chittenden VT, Denise Kelly, of the Dominican Republic; 2 sons, Daniel Noury, of Bedford, Paul Noury of Henniker; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; Robert Jolicoeur, of Bonita Springs FL, and Donald Jolicoeur, of Hooksett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by a son John Noury, in 1992.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday February 18, 2004 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St. Manchester.
