Farley, Robert T. of Quincy, passed away August 1, 2011.
Beloved husband of the late Norma L. (Carter). Loving father of Thomas J. Farley of NH, Deborah A. Vallante of Quincy, Joseph W. Farley of Foxboro, Donald E. Farley of Quincy, and Michelle A. Hatfield of Weymouth. Brother of the late William Farley and Gertrude O’Brien. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Robert’s life revolved around his family and career. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. Mr. Farley worked in the elevator repair business for over thirty years; first as a mechanic, followed by Chief Safety Inspector for the Commonwealth of MA, and retired as President of NAESA (National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities). He was a strong foundation for his family, wonderful and caring. He will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St., N. Quincy at 10 AM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
