CUMBERLAND, RI-Catherine C. (Chase) Ayotte, 79, of 3 Teal Lane, formerly of 391 May Street, Worcester, died Friday, February 13th in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket after an illness. Her husband of 36 years, Joseph O. Ayotte died in 1988. She leaves a son Gerard J. and his wife Anne Ayotte of Moultonboro, NH, a daughter Mary A., wife of Richard Gablaski of Cumberland, 7 grandchildren, Nathan J., Michele A., Gregory J. Ayotte and Katherine J., Courtney M., Stephanie A. and Cynthia J. Gablaski, and a great grandson, Deven A. Auger.
She was born in Franklin, NH the daughter of Donald B. and Theresa (Gahagan) Chase and graduated from Franklin High School. She lived there for most of her life before moving to Worcester 20 years ago. Mrs. Ayotte was a former librarian and loved reading mysteries. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.
The funeral is Tuesday, February 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin, NH in the spring. Calling hours are Monday, February 16th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
