Obituary

Arthur D. Aube, 76, of Natick, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (O’Brien) Aube.

Born in Boston, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Campbell) Aube, Mr. Aube was raised in Brookline before moving to Natick 49 years ago. Mr. Aube served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. During his service to our country, he was very active in playing baseball throughout Japan. He was employed with Itek for nearly 40 years where he was involved in the classified Corona Project as well as the Apollo Mission. After retirement, Mr. Aube enjoyed keeping in contact with his former co-workers through the Alumni Association with Itek. He was a very active golfer who was a lifetime member at the Robert T. Lynch Golf Course.

Mr. Aube was the devoted father to Larry Aube and his wife, Bernadette, of Shrewsbury, Diane Balboni and her husband, Dan, of Natick and Karen Ghilani and her husband, Paul, of Natick. He was the beloved grandfather of Joe, Brenna, Michelle, John, Jeni, Sarah, Rebecca, Sam, Nicole, Paige and Henry. Brother to Roger Aube and his wife, Marie, Roland Aube, Jane Cathcart and her husband, Robert. Mr. Aube is also survived by his dear friend, Ellie Manseau. In addition to his wife, Mr. Aube’s son, Doug, and his brother, Philip, predeceased him.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Mr. Aube’s funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 8:00AM to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Linus Church, Natick at 9AM. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8PM.
