Obituary

Ernest “Al” Tourtellotte, a lifelong resident of Winchester passed away Monday July 25th after a courageous battle with cancer. Al was born in Winchester to the late Ernest and Myrtle (Kinsman) Tourtellotte. Mr. Tourtellotte started his own business over 35 years ago, Arrow Mechanical Corp., a company specializing in all types of pumps for commercial buildings. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed passing along his knowledge of water, heating, waste and fire protection pumps that he worked on in the greater Boston area. In his spare time Al enjoyed going to New England Dragway where he could be found observing from the stands, working the pits or participating in the races. Al also loved boating, jetsking, ATVing and snowmobiling. Whatever Al was doing he always enjoyed making conversation with those that passed his way. He is survived by his wife Carole (Clark), two step-sons Michael O’Leary of Billerica and Shaun O’Leary of Malden. Al is also survived by his nephew Stewart Gillette of Kennebunkport, ME two nieces, Tracy Smith of Newburyport, Sharon Sealund of Haverhill and several extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Thurs. July 28th from 4-8PM. Funeral services and interment private.
