Obituary

Albert A. Jardin, 90, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Tower Hill Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Canton on Tuesday, July 26. He was the beloved husband of Marie T. (Regan) Jardin. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School and Massasoit Community College. He also attended Bridgewater State College. Mr. Jardin was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and received many medals as a result of fighting in the Pacific with the Black Cat Squadron. He was a machinist at Westinghouse for 39 years before retiring in 1983. In addition he ran his own Power Burners and Heating business. Mr. Jardin was a member of the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, in particular to Maine, playing cards and especially spending time with his family. An avid Boston sports fan, he enjoyed playing semi-pro football for the Stoughton Trojans and baseball in his younger years, as well as coaching girl’s softball.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Jardin is survived by his loving children, Kevin A. Jardin and his wife Carol of Millis, Sheila A. Wilson and her husband Bruce of NH, Kenneth J. Jardin and his wife Monica of CT and Thomas E. Jardin and his wife Joyce of Westford. He was the brother of Edward Jardin and Jilda Giles both of Stoughton, Sr. Theresa Jardin, CSJ of Brighton and the late Manuel Jardin and Constance Cabral. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 30 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Al’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
